Golpe di stato, aggiornamenti
again a testimony of the director of Radio Sol Mansi:
"... the day Guinea is experiencing very intense and conflicting. I am writing to the successful completion of voting. PAIGC He won with 67 deputies out of 100, while the second party shall is 28. 3 Other parties have a deputy. So the results that promise stability and ability to govern. We interviewed the future prime minister, who proposes a very interesting, when he was prime minister for a year actually worked very well, but then it was made to resign by the President of the Republic. Now people expect a lot from him. Unfortunately, this good news have been ruined by those who want the ongoing instability in Guinea Bissau. On the night of November 23 a group military attacked the residence of the President. Many shots, a presidential guard dead, several wounded. The President and his family miraculously illesi.La people are demoralized. But here the picture gets more complicated. On the one hand, positive, many marches for peace: this is what the people want. Second, many things remain unclear. Why an attack by four hours with bazookas and other military weapons has not touched on the many soldiers in the city? The police, which has its headquarters a few hundred yards ... did not hear? Now you have raised various allegations (the enemies of the president), but the official version of armed assault with a defense effort does not take even the most hurried ballistics expert. About he has won was the President, who receives a week visits, expressions of sympathy, encouragement to continue ... I can not tell you more, for obvious reasons. Who orchestrated the whole or has not lost anything (only 5 arrested, the usual military mandates in jeopardy), or has won the instability that favors any illicit trafficking and not the law. Who are the people we have lost: the new fear, distrust of those who want to invest in Guinea, referring to economic aid ... "

Elezioni, il giorno dopo...
by a community of p.Davide Fool, director of Radio Sol Mansi:
"... Sunday, November 16 parliamentary elections were held in Guinea Bissau. After an election campaign on, but without incident, even the election day, things went well overall. No incident of violence, and despite some organizational problems, all were able to vote even in the most dispersed. Just north of Mansoa Bissorà and, due to organizational problems, voting has not made and is being held today (Monday). People have great expectations, because the situation is really bad: the food crisis is affecting the poor (almost all) very strongly, and it has become normal, even in Bissau, eat once a day. Public schools and state universities have not yet started the school year and officials do not receive the meager salary in months. Radio Sol Mansi for us to have been weeks of intense work and awareness. The fact that campaigning and elections took place without disorder us happy, because we think we have given our part, together with the other radio, which this year have combined to foster a climate of dialogue. On Election Day we have been in radio for 14 consecutive hours, broadcast live for the conduct of the vote, inform people and promote the work of the Regional Commissions of the elections, which were via radio to know where the ballot boxes had not arrived or where there were problems . Our 35 correspondents, most teams Bissau Mansoa Bafatá and have worked with great professionalism and enthusiasm. Many people and leaders of institutions have phoned to congratulate him. Last night I was tired but happy, not only for its contribution to the smooth running of the elections, but because I had confirmation that providing opportunities for training and employment to our young people can pick up great results. We now await the results. We know già, tramite i corrispondenti, il probabile risultato, ma per legge sarà la Commissione Nazionale per le elezioni ad annunciarlo. Preghiamo perché gli sconfitti accettino democraticamente il risultato del voto. Non ci sono infatti segni di brogli significativi."

At these latitudes - alas - the votes are bought and sold more easily and on the eve of elections, the capital Bissau seems to live beyond its capabilities, perhaps to give a false image of ourselves to international observers. In the field dropped many parties, but to do the lion's share will be only 3 configurations: the PRID of Aristides Gomes (suspected of involvement in a matter of drug trafficking), Kumba Yala of the PRS, instigating ethnic hatred and confusion at the maximum power , the great giant PAIGC, which bet on the entrepreneur to recover Carlos Gomes Jr., but the campaign by giving a minstrel of the caliber of Baciro Dabó, politico, cantante e showman (vi ricorda qualcuno?..).
guineensi I await this moment with a mixture of anxiety and resignation, poised between the hope of a change to trigger a decisive crackdown and the disappointment of those who for years helplessly to the power games of a violent and corrupt political class.
Cross your fingers ... and pray, that the long-awaited change can truly begin.

MISSIONE QUINARA/RGB HORTIPESCA
It all started with the usual phrase Hélder, my head to India (and Intercooperação Desenvolvimento www.inde.pt ) "Daniela, serious problem viajares um na Próxima fourth ?...". Certainly not chef, you know that I Bissau is close and I love the village life ... This time it was to prepare and follow up the visit of the supervisor of the European Commission to the project for 3 years now the region is pursuing INDE of Quinara, South Guinea. The project in question ("RGB Hortipesca") goes for courses in adult literacy, savings and credit, VHF radio to allow communication between the villages, fishing cooperatives and community gardens in an attempt to improve the living conditions of the local population. It's been a while since I showed you the opportunity to make a visit on the ground and once again I and local partners in India (NGOs guineensi AMIN DIVUTEC and) we did not miss all the adventures and incidents corollary of well known by those who work outside the capital Bissau furati tires in the forest, endless Travel along precarious dirt roads, including heavy taxes and minor accidents and jolts (the war report this time contemplates the death of a chicken and a katcur of Mangue, a kind of skunk giant guilty of having crossed the street at the wrong time ), small communities of ethnic beafada isolated from the rest of the world, but with a great capacity for warmth and a surprising internal dynamism. The clock pointed to 5.30 and a certain amount of stubbornness allowed us to reach Darsalam, remote desert locations in the middle of the format. Squirrels, gazelles, monkeys, lizards green ...: never seen so many animals so close! Above all, however, affects the spirit of sacrifice of those who work at the forefront because the project works, guineensi poorly paid, often volunteers, who in the heat of the rainy weather, or under the blazing sun got on the bike and moving in tabanche more isolated, accompanying, advising, controlling, helping ... Cooperation with scant resources, when compared with major international organizations that now proliferate in Guinea and empire, but made with heart, by Africans for Africans. I realize once more: for those who love Africa and its people, the job is really a privilege.

The word p.Renzo, Sacred Heart missionary in DR Congo ...
"It 's common knowledge in the west of the sad facts of war these days in the east of the country. Inertia of many (the international community, the UN, the Kinshasa government ...) and activities of other (smaller warlords, businessmen, companies looking for minerals, neighboring countries with strong interests in the Congo). As the refrain of suffering and despair of the population hostage to the "large" and their policies. Population without a voice, without the means to react. A never ending story, no happy ending for now. Fertile ground for new rebellions, for the entry of new revenue. Who will deliver us? To educate and educate everyone so that our eyes and see the eyes of others wherever man and his dignity, a man like me, eager for all the good as me, child of God like me ... Yes, for those who do not have the means of politics and rejects those of force opens the way for the consciences of her - above all - and that of the people can meet, in all situations of life and at all latitudes.
The war news these days does not affect Babonde in our territory to remain calm ... but also tense, because what sembrava oramai un'epoca di normalizzazione, si rivela invece carica di ulteriore instabilità”.

I MIRACOLI A VOLTE SUCCEDONO...
L’anno scorso l’avevo promesso a me stessa: Antónia sarebbe andata a scuola!
Un sogno non facile da realizzare, il mio: sulle isole non esiste nessuna struttura for teaching the deaf and the transfer to capital is unthinkable for those who - like Antonia - in Bissau has a family that can support!
Yet you could not just resign ... A
Bissau I started to knock on every door, looking for a family willing to accommodate the child.
And with a good dose of stubbornness, the miracle came true!
Others have begun to believe in my dream: p.Guerino, pastor of Bubaque, which put me in touch with a family of his knowledge of Bissau; Delta, who generously accepted Antónia in his house, the girl's parents who are committed to make a small contribution towards the cost of small, and finally ... Providence, and through the recent contract with the European Union has given me the means to financially support the study of small throughout the next school year, paying the school of Antonio and helping the family to the Delta board.
As in fairy tales, the dream has become reality in a few days will begin classes at the National School for the Deaf, on the banks, this year, will sit also a girl ... Bubaque

Can I Close My Eyes For Tanning
KRIOL SABI
few days ago ended in Bissau yet another edition Course Mission Integration facing missionaries, volunteers and foreign aid workers recently landed in Guinea.
For the second year in a row, at the invitation of the Bishop of Bissau and Bafata, so I assume the role of teacher of cryolite, introducing the newly-arrived to the beauty of the language and local culture during intense and amazing 5 weeks.
Having to reconcile this commitment with the work to India, the effort was made to feel ... not to mention that by dint of skipping lunch I got an enviable line!
Seriously, the experience was wonderful: it's not every day to work with 30 students from 11 different nationalities, a true Babel which included India, Kenya, Germany, Ecuador, Brazil and so on!
This year, moreover, the group of students was very varied and also included some evangelical missionaries: it was thus an open and ecumenical sharing of undoubted value for all.
As illustrated by the photos posted here, the poor students have willingly accepted the My teaching method, rich in dynamics, games, role-play and fun activities!
... And the Italian teacher has been able to once again pursue his passion for the local language!

What Causes Scabbing In Nose
Di nuovo il colera a Bissau
Now it's official: in Guinea is a new epidemic of cholera broke out.
Only in Bissau have already identified 400 cases.
The epidemic is spreading like wildfire ... and with it the fear, because this is a real déjà vu.
The Ministry of Health, civil society and many international NGOs have already tried to raise awareness and prevent, But the precarious conditions of hygiene in many areas (open sewers and lack of drinking water) and the traditions of some ethnic groups do not help to limit the damage, even favoring the infection.
hope for the best ...

Malaria? Sì grazie!
Another malaria - the fourth - to be added to my collection of African ills ...
The Anopheles mosquito bite, you know, causing various symptoms and subjective.
In my case, each new bout of malaria is accompanied by the uncomfortable feeling that I have passed on a truck, leaving the bones into small pieces ...
Understandably, in such a situation, the only desire of the patient in turn is to be left alone, waiting for footsteps.
Sickness, however, in these parts, is a social fact, a deal that involves the whole community.
can not escape when you live in a neighborhood!
course, the procession of more or less well-known that close to take a look and pass it into the house, the most natural is not exactly pleasant when it is at the mercy of nausea, fever and stomach cramps graded. And yet ... to think of it ... I prefer a cup of soup (often accompanied by some mysterious traditional remedy, because "you're standing with this tomorrow!") offered by my closest African educator indifference that reigns in our condos!

I prefer a cup of soup (often accompanied by some mysterious traditional remedy, because "you're standing with this tomorrow!") offered by my closest African educator indifference that reigns in our condos!

Actresses Who Showed Their Boobs
GIOCHI...SENZA FRONTIERE
In this blog we can not claim to be a little 'family of sports advertising format: the first-born while giving themselves to challenge the African heat, jogging (I'll recommend it' s a real suicide ...), the other week part of the hemisphere the "little" home Gelso is serious! As many already know, my brother Gabriel is part of the Italian National Team and now is in the Czech Republic for the European Tchoukball , which will catapult the winners directly to the World Games.
... How? Do not know what the Tchoukball?!
No problem: it is both a sport aerobatic as unknown, halfway between the handball and basketball, Taiwan and Switzerland is popular as football, but has arrived in Italy a few years ago.
To note the laudable attempt by my brother to export this wonderful sport even at these latitudes, when last summer - a visit to Guinea - has unsuccessfully tried to teach it to guineensi ...!
For those wishing to learn more signal sites made in Italy www.tchoukball.it and www.polisportlimbiate.it (club team that plays the little brother), and to follow the fate of enough to see our heroes at the European

La seconda bella notizia è che sono state leslative elections set for November, and today begins the process of voter registration. Much is expected, and even fear, because in places where democracy is young, elections are always a danger of serious instability. But the fact they happen is a good signal.
Unfortunately, this period is particularly difficult for the people, because the global food crisis has dramatic repercussions here. For weeks the country remained without fuel and often without rice importers in the market because they were expecting increases (in fact, globalization has brought this news also in Guinea: in the first place the laws of the market, not the basic needs of people). A few days ago it was decided that the new prices of fuel and rice: a net increase of 35% overnight! Of course the rest is increased, but wages and the value of local products. If this crisis in Italy creates serious problems, imagine what this means for most people to eat 35% less than before!
what to do for these people? It is becoming increasingly urgent to focus on training and education to address this more unified world without being employees, and slaves.
The formation of a ruling class that gives top priority to the value of the person and the needy, a civil society that its voice heard in front of so many injustices, remain a priority.
addition to the usual problem that few leaders believe the common good, there is also a strong passivity among the people. While Bissau was paralyzed for lack of fuel and the state were not receiving their meager wages from 4 months, the President of the Republic of The Gambia received its counterpart with luxury cars, motorcycles and luxury "trip" on the islands by helicopter with 100 people in tow. All this passive acceptance of the people who merely complain about the cross-roads.
educate civil society to make their voices heard and claim their rights is anche un’urgenza per prevenire i conflitti, perchè la rabbia che soggiace alla passività può esplodere da un momento all’altro in forme incontrollabili".

Katesplayground Accounts
Stavolta non si è trattato di un adorabile bimbetto di pochi mesi ( http://danielabubaque.altervista.org/lettm03.php ) ma di una giovane ragazza bijagò, that after five years of preparation for baptism this year has finally been able to receive the sacrament sighed.
The friendship which binds me to Sui, better known as kuke is strong ... and is well worth yet another canoe trip!
then start Bubaque time to fulfill my obligations as a sponsor and accompany kuke this important step.
important to her, who deliberately chose this path, but also important for me, as they are called to be godmother to her an example, a model, a reference point ... anything but easy!
moved, as I witnessed the ritual of the name used to our Italian christenings, where children are baptized within the year and where are the parents to choose the name of children, the "name change" I took it a little 'off guard.

Since many guineensi have a traditional name, at the time of baptism they are asked to add a Christian.
kuke but expressed no preference and has asked me to "rename it"! Oh God, what awful responsibility!

I was thinking that night: it is not easy to choose the name of a person, a name that will bring you back to life.
choose the name and add a piece to the identity of a person, make a brand that will always, play an important role in his life ... well, a big thing!
I've thought and thought, and I ended FRANCISCO , in homage to the saint of Assisi.
The choice of this name kuke wants to be a wish to grow in simplicity and humility, two virtues that St. Francis certainly not lacking.
Congratulations, Frances Sui, pa bo, kaminhu IABR !

'There is outrage in the air, in Bissau, from an attitude to the Portuguese ambassador with a lusa citizen. I will not comment or "link" the case, precisely because it is no longer just "political-diplomatic" to begin to be personal and gut. I do, however, interesting that Guineans are mainly the spokespersons of the outrage (and hence does not come any harm to the world). I shall make only some general remarks on the presence of foreigners in the capital of Guinea Bissau. Let me be clear that I am not referring to anyone or to any group of people, concreto.Bissau has 3 types of whites (diplomats, aid workers and others): 1 - those who are there because they were sent there by the institution / company they work for, 2 - those who were are for cash, 3 - who are there because they like Africa and / or Bissau.Os Guinea-third minority, are more discreet in the middle of the wildlife that abounds in the small African capital. Not in the spotlight, do their handiwork and go enjoy life, happy to be there, while admitting that there are better sites to viver.Os first and second are the ones that cause problems. They are rude, they work against the goodwill and misrepresent the bodies / companies for whom they work. Whine all the time in a land and a people who already carries on his back a whole ordeal. Become racist. Arm spats. They smoke drugs, drink alcohol, have sex with anyone who does not and must spend time trying to forget the time he is - punishment - in Bissau.Ora, these people have no guilt on their luck. If you were to stop Bissau is because, where they were ill or earned or not earned the trust of his superiors / bosses to go to better sites ("better" they say, because to me Bissau is the perfect city to live). Thus the guilt of his actions is who sent them there, that should not have sent. Who, in the northern world, makes the choice of professionals to send to Bissau should be more careful and not to throw any um.Por other hand, who is sent there should not descarrregar anguish e frustrações em cima dos outros.

Cough And Whooping Cough Difference
TIZIANO TERZANI
"Purtroppo oggi sul palcoscenico del mondo noi occidentali siamo insieme i soli protagonisti ed i soli spettatori, e così, attraverso le nostre televisioni ed i nostri giornali, non ascoltiamo che le nostre ragioni, non proviamo che il nostro dolore."
"Infelizmente, on the world stage today, we are the only Western actors and the only spectators, and so through our televisions and our newspapers, we only hear our reasons and feel only the pain. "

Bathhouse In Sacramento Ca
A SCUOLA DI ECUMENISMO
1 ° maggio.
It begins with Henrique, the Protestant pastor.
Today the little nymph takes 2 years and for the occasion, my friend brought her a small gift.
There is also a gift to the pastor, a Portuguese grammar, which he specifically requested to improve their language skills.
The warm reception that his wife and neighbors, we reserve just makes me realize that those parts Mariano is at home. A few minutes later comes the shepherd is young, he looks good and a nice smile.
We sit in front of the simple house where he lives and talk of this and that. The opportunity is too good: I arrived in Guinea since I had not yet happened to sit in company of a Catholic priest and a pastor! So start asking questions ... and meeting points of the "clash" between the two beliefs. Our guest rattles off biblical quotations as if nothing had happened, confirming the common belief that the Protestants want well-prepared in terms of Scripture.
From the mouth words come out of this man guineense marked by tolerance, openness, knowledge of, the dialogue without prejudices.
satisfied my curiosity, Henrique us to see the evangelical church under construction, but unfortunately the concrete is finished! Mariano offers to lend a hand.
Turns out that Sunday, when my friend went to celebrate Mass in villages, the mission welcomes Toyota Henrique often, in order to achieve the Protestant communities around the country has only about an old bike.
The Catholic mission, with more resources available, does not deny aid to close in trouble!
In today's church too often characterized by obtuse proselytism, fear closures and at best a sort of polite indifference, simple and warm friendship of Mariano and Henrique, in this remote corner of Africa, is really a sign prophetic.
The most beautiful testimony of ecumenism, once again, great passes from the small gestures of simple people.

When Did I Conceive Based On Edd

Selling eggs at the market, shine shoes on the street and collect plastic in the landfills are just some of the jobs through which children guineensi help the family.
And ... time to play?
When you are poor, fantasy compensate for the lack of resources ... and do not need all the good toys that our (viziatissimi?) Italian children to be happy!
Seeing is believing ...

Un grosso in bocca al lupo agli amici of Kuyo: Bidal, Teresa Wilson, Ana, Julio, Dauda, \u200b\u200bRosalie, Domingos and Natalia !!!!)
I have accepted more than willing to ... especially since I was temporarily unemployed! Until last year, Kuyo there was no infrastructure, and now - thanks to Sol Mansi, was carried out by a busy channel to guarantee the population access to water and created a small school for adult literacy, which in most cases can not read or write. The pupils of the school are just so many small ... and surprisingly, in class there are only women, some men of the district have taken up the challenge and sat patiently on wooden benches to learn to write at least your name. The biggest challenge, in my opinion, the collection has, however, who has strongly supported this project in a country where the official teaching ignores the mother tongue and takes place only in Portuguese, literacy made in Kuyo - which begins in Criola then move on to the Portuguese - is a small island of modernity and methodological innovation! Who carries out every day this precious and difficult task, deal with the specificities of bilingual education, are the 9 monitors the school, all young, all volunteers, university students, primary school teachers recruited from the unemployed ... Sol Mansi Onlus to realize that until recently there was only a dream. Working with them, I say this without rhetoric, has been a truly enriching! Every afternoon, dusty and too passionate after a long walk under the blazing sun, I was surprised by their desire to learn, with their many questions (.. thing that professors Bubaque I had just used to it!), With their imagination and creativity, with their fluency. In a country where the teaching profession is often identified with the possibility of having a fixed salary (... so to speak!) And in which - consequently - few bother to be good educators, passion and spirit of sacrifice with which these young people complete their service have been true for me boccata d’aria!
